The all new Canon EOS 60D is here and with a Bang! With drop dead gorgeous look and feel this latest entry-level DSLR from Canon is bound to sweep you off your feet.

The Canon 60D has a host of new features including an – hold your breath – 18MP CMOS sensor! Phew 18MP is the best resolution which even high-end DSLRs cannot boast of. Top it up with Full HD Video, for the first time a 3″ swivel-LCD, wireless flash transmitter, upgraded weather proof build and a directional pad (d-pad). The Canon 60D supports SD cards thus helping in using High capacity SDXC and Eye Fi memory cards. WOW!

The vari-angle LCD is a great addition to the DSLR. It can move in many angles and hence helps shoot pictures in difficult positions too. It is a 3″ 1040k-dot vari-angle with no compromise on-screen size or resolution. The flash transmitter allows upto two groups of Speedlites connectivity. The top features a Dial Lock which helps prevent any accidental movement change of settings. The d-pad plays a major role substituting both a joystick and wheel thus making easier access to functions. The LCD screen features an Electronic Level which helps in leveling the 60D. The 60D’s menu features a range of creative effects for the photos. The video recording is a major attraction of the Canon EOS 60D. It supports 1080p HD quality video recording at 24fps or 50 fps.

The non-metal body might seem to be a dampener but it helps in reducing the weight and improved handling. The 60D also has an improved DIGIC 4 image engine to ensure excellent quality pictures. It also has a 3.5mm Microphone jack for audio recording with 9 all cross-type Auto Focus. Totally the Canon 60D weighs 755 gms with the battery and card. So a Great DSLR with a great price tag makes the Canon EOS 60D a 5 star winner!
